Job Overview:
Pick n Pay Internship is offering an exciting traineeship program for recent graduates. This program is designed to provide comprehensive on-the-job training in the retail sector, focusing on key areas such as operations, management, and customer service. Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of this traineeship is to develop and nurture talent by providing practical experience in retail operations and management. Trainees will be exposed to various aspects of the business, including store management, supply chain logistics, and customer relations, to prepare them for future roles within Pick n Pay.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily store operations, including inventory management, sales floor organization, and customer service.
- Participate in the development and execution of store strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
- Support the management team in implementing company policies and procedures.
- Engage in training sessions and workshops to learn about retail management, merchandising, and supply chain processes.
- Contribute to the analysis of sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Collaborate with various departments to support store promotions, inventory control, and operational efficiency.
Education:
- Recently graduated or currently completing a degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum academic requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; however, any relevant internships, part-time work, or academic projects in retail or business management will be considered advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of retail operations and customer service is beneficial.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
