Job Description

The Communications Intern will play a crucial role in the Association Unit, enhancing engagement through MSF SA’s communication channels. This position aims to support MSF’s goal of fostering a more connected Association and will focus on developing innovative social media strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Association Team to create and implement marketing strategies for the Association.
  • Maintain and update content on the Association website (Inside OCB), SharePoint microsite, and social media platforms to ensure alignment.
  • Build relationships with users by crafting and sharing engaging content on social media.
  • Update Inside OCB with content from the MSF Communications network and produce localized content as needed.
  • Post MSF’s updates on identified external websites.
  • Design and manage promotions and social media ad campaigns.
  • Monitor social media trends and respond proactively.
  • Measure and report on social media activities and engagement metrics.
  • Engage with social media users and respond to their inquiries.
  • Support various Association-related activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree or National Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Strong interest in humanitarian issues.

Experience

  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience or keen interest in managing social media accounts and digital marketing strategies.

Skills

  • Creative and flexible mindset with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to balance short-term and long-term tasks in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge with team members.
