Job Description
The Communications Intern will play a crucial role in the Association Unit, enhancing engagement through MSF SA’s communication channels. This position aims to support MSF’s goal of fostering a more connected Association and will focus on developing innovative social media strategies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Association Team to create and implement marketing strategies for the Association.
- Maintain and update content on the Association website (Inside OCB), SharePoint microsite, and social media platforms to ensure alignment.
- Build relationships with users by crafting and sharing engaging content on social media.
- Update Inside OCB with content from the MSF Communications network and produce localized content as needed.
- Post MSF’s updates on identified external websites.
- Design and manage promotions and social media ad campaigns.
- Monitor social media trends and respond proactively.
- Measure and report on social media activities and engagement metrics.
- Engage with social media users and respond to their inquiries.
- Support various Association-related activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree or National Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- No prior work experience required.
- Strong interest in humanitarian issues.
Experience
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Experience or keen interest in managing social media accounts and digital marketing strategies.
Skills
- Creative and flexible mindset with a collaborative approach.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to balance short-term and long-term tasks in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge with team members.
